Leading University (Bengali: লিডিং বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) or LU is a private university of Bangladesh. It was established in 2001 by the Private University Act 1992.[1] The outreach campus of LU is located in Siddeshwari, Dhaka.

Department of Architecture

This subject are related to art & creativity.it is start in 2007.it is first architecture department in sylhet private university.recently first batch complete their thesis.it is 5 years course.now 7th batch running.

Academic session

The university has three semesters available in a year: Spring semester (starts in January), Summer semester (starts in April), Fall semester (starts in October). The duration of each semester is thirteen weeks. But the academic calendar for the architecture department consists of two semesters each year.

Extracurricular activities

LU provides activities designed by its own particular club, such as Debating Club, Sports Club, Cultural Activities Club, Social Service Club and Computer Club, Creative Club, BNCC.

Recognition

Leading University awarded gold medal to best student speakers at an international conference on Applied Mathematics and Mathematical physics (ICAMMP) 2004.[2] The event was held from 4 to 7 January 2005 at Sylhet.
