Lawson Marc D'Ath (born 24 December 1992) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder for Dagenham & Redbridge on loan from Reading.

Club career

D'Ath was selected in the Reading match day squad for the first time on 11 August 2010, appearing as an unused substitute in the League Cup win over Torquay United.[3] He signed a new two-year professional contract in April 2011 having scored at a prolific rate for the reserve and Academy teams.[4][5] He made his debut on 7 January 2012 in the Third Round of the FA Cup against Stevenage, coming on as an 87th minute substitute for Shaun Cummings.[6]

On 9 February 2012, D'Ath joined Yeovil Town on a one-month youth loan.[7] He made his league debut in Yeovil's League One win against Wycombe Wanderers and scored his first career goal against Colchester United in the following match.[8] On 11 April his loan was extended for the rest of the season.[9]

On 25 October 2012 D'Ath joined Cheltenham Town on loan for a month.[10] He made his debut against Exeter City on 27 October and scored the first goal as Cheltenham won 3–0.[11] After playing only two games D'Ath picked up a knee injury which ruled him out for several weeks. Despite that his loan was extended on 22 November until January.[12] After making just one further appearance as a second-half substitute his loan was not extended further and he returned to Reading on 2 January 2013.[13] Two months later D'Ath joined fellow League Two side Exeter City on a one-month youth loan.[14][15] He made his debut on 16 March against Bradford City, scoring the second goal in a 4–1 win,[16] and made a further seven appearances before returning to Reading at the end of the season.

In November 2013 he joined Dagenham & Redbridge on a one-month emergency loan.[17][18] His loan was extended for a second month at the end of December,[19] though in the first game after the renewal he was sent off for two bookable offences.[20] In January, his stay was extended until the end of the season,[21] with manager Wayne Burnett revealing that Reading would continue to play all of D'Ath's wages.[22]
