Lawrence Peckham

Lawrence ("Lawrie") William Peckham (born 4 December 1944 in Melbourne, Victoria) is a retired high jumper from Australia, who represented his native country in three consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1964.
He also competed in four Commonwealth Games during his career. A ten-time national champion in the men's high jump, he won two Commonwealth Games gold medals in 1966 and 1970.[1] In 1977, Peckham married fellow Olympian, Judy Canty, the 1978 Commonwealth Games champion at 800 metres.
After retirement, he become a physical education coach at The Peninsula School and then Geelong Grammar School in Melbourne Victoria, and specialized specifically in high jumping.
