Lawrence Brainard

Lawrence ('Larry') Brainard is a founding partner and Chief Economist at Trusted Sources,[1] the emerging markets research and consultancy firm headquartered in London. He is a veteran global emerging markets economist and investment strategist.[2][3] He was formerly Co-Head of Emerging Debt Markets at Goldman Sachs before becoming Global Head of Emerging Market Research at Chase Manhattan Bank.[4]
During the 1980s he headed economic committees responsible for advising creditor banks on the restructuring of the sovereign debt of Mexico, Brazil, Poland, Yugoslavia and Nigeria.[5]
He has a PhD in economics from the University of Chicago.
