Laurie Thompson

Laurie Thompson (born 1938) is a British academic and translator,[1] noted for his translations of Swedish literature into English.

Thompson was born in York, England, and lived in northern Sweden for a few years. He is the former editor (1983–2002) of the Swedish Book Review, and former lecturer at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and the University of Wales, Lampeter.
