Laurell

Laurell Barker, better known by her stage name Laurell, is a Canadian recording artist/songwriter born in North Vancouver, British Columbia.

Laurell released her independent album Can't Stop Falling in 2010, which was distributed by Pacific Music/Warner. The album won "Pop Album of the Year" at the Western Canadian Music Awards and the title track "Can't Stop Falling" won CHUM Radio's "Emerging Indie Artist Initiative" and 1st place in the Billboard World Song Contest, peaking at #8 on the Canadian AC Charts and #15 on the Canadian HOT AC Charts. Laurell was nominated for single of the year at the Canadian Radio Music Awards in both the Hot AC and AC categories.

In July 2013, Laurell released her single "Unbreakable". The single entered the top #40 in late September and as of October 12, 2013 the single is sitting at both #36 on the Canadian AC and Canadian Hot AC Charts. She collaborated with Armada Music musicians Dankaan and Antillas for the song "When You Love Someone" later in 2013.[1]
