Laura Fine is the Illinois state representative for the 17th district, a full-time position she began in January 2013. The 17th district includes all or parts of Evanston, Glenview, Golf, Morton Grove, Northbrook, Skokie and Wilmette.[1]
Fine previously served as the Northfield Township Clerk. She grew up in Glenview and graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in telecommunications, then produced, wrote, reported and anchored news shows. Fine received a master's degree in political science from Northeastern Illinois University, where she later taught courses in American Government and the Constitution.[2]
Married, Fine and her husband, Michael, have two sons.[3]
