History

Established in 1908, the club played their early days in the Biggleswade and District Junior League.[2] After the first world war they played in the Bedford & district league, which they won in the 1931–32 season and again after the war in the 1949–50 season.[2] In 1951 they joined division one of the South Midlands League.[3]

They stayed in Division one until the end of the 1968–69 season, when they won promotion to the Premier Division but could only remain in there for two saessons.[4] The club then spent the fourteen seasons between the premier division and division one.[4] The 1985–86 season saw them back in the premier division and four seasons later they became champions of the league.[5] For the start of the 1997–98 season the club was placed in the Premier Division North of the Spartan South Midlands League, which was created when the London Spartan League and the South Midlands League merged.[6] They were then placed in th Senior Division when the league reorganised, which was renamed Division one in 2001.[4] The club gained promotion to the premier Division at the end of the 2003–04 campaign.[4] The club remained in the premier division until the end of the 2010–11 campaign when they were relegated back to division one.[4]
