Lancelot Rupert Shilton was Dean of Sydney from 1973 until 1988.
He was educated at the University of Melbourne and ordained in 1950. [1] His first post was as a curate at Hawthorn. Then he was the incumbent at Carlton from 1951 to 1954. After this he was at London University for two years completing a B.D. From 1957 to 1973 he was the Rector of Holy Trinity, Adelaide.[2]
He died on 12 March 1998.[3]
