Lanús Rugby Club is an Argentine rugby union club based in the Lanús district of Greater Buenos Aires. The team currently plays in the Torneo de la URBA Grupo II, the second division of the Unión de Rugby de Buenos Aires league system.
Lanús RC is one of the youngest clubs of Argentina, [3]
Although the club is not related to Club Atlético Lanús, it adopted the characteristic maroon color that has been a mark of identity for the Southern club, although jersey's predominant color is black. Both clubs also share the same nickname, Granate (Maroon in Spanish).
