Lakhandur is a taluka town and a tehsil in Sakoli subdivision of Bhandara district in Nagpur revenue Division in the Berar region in the state of Maharashtra, India. The town is 90km from Nagpur. Connecting roads are in a fairly decent condition.[citation needed] Nearest railhead is at Desaiganj (Wadsa). It is also a Constituency of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
The total population of the town is approx 10,000 with agriculture being the mainstay of the population.
Educational facilities
The town has a 3 makeshift colleges and a couple of high schools.
