Laiyang

Laiyang city (Chinese: 莱阳) is a county-level city within Yantai bordering Qingdao, located at the middle of Shandong peninsula, China. Majority of its population (70%) are farmers and it is famous for Laiyang Pear. As of 2000, it has a population of about one million.
