Lago Junior Wakalible (born 31 December 1990 in Abidjan), known as Junior, is an Ivorian footballer who plays for Gimnàstic de Tarragona in Spain, as a forward.

Football career

Junior began his football career at the Centre de Formation Joël Tiéhi, a school founded by former player Joël Tiéhi, who spent 11 years in France as a professional. In 2007 he made his professional debuts with Issia Wazi, scoring at an excellent rate.[1]

On 31 January 2009, Junior moved to Spain and signed a five 1/2-year contract with CD Numancia.[2] He made his La Liga debut on 18 April, playing ten minutes in a 0–3 loss at Atlético Madrid; until the end of the season he only amassed four more games, all as a substitute, and the Soria club was relegated as 19th.

On 27 August 2010, Junior signed for SD Eibar on a season-long loan. Two days later he scored twice on his official debut for the third division side, a 2–1 home win against CF Palencia.[3]

On 13 July 2013, after two more second level seasons with Numancia, Junior continued and the country and signed with Gimnàstic de Tarragona in division three.[4]
