Operations

LOT Charters launched flight operations on 1 June 2009. The airline expects 400,000 annual passengers on its short and long haul flights (the latter ones being operated using the Boeing 767-300ER aircraft of mainline LOT), which would allow it to reach a 25 percent market share and establish a leading position among charter carriers operating on the Polish market.[citation needed] Charter contracts have been signed with Neckermann, TUI, Rainbow Tours and others.[2]

Fleet

As of January 2012, the LOT Charters fleet consists of four Boeing 737-400 aircraft with an average age of 15.9 years, which are equipped with 162 passenger seats in an all-economy class cabin layout. These aircraft had previously been operated by mainline LOT.[3] The registrations are SP-LLE, SP-LLF, SP-LLG[4] and SP-LLK.

Future

LOT Charters is scheduled to close its operations in October 2013, as LOT will remove all of its Boeing 737 aircraft out of its fleet. This is part of the fleet restructuring program to renew LOT's fleet with newer aircraft, replacing the twenty-year old Boeing 737 and 767's.[5]
