L'Hospitalet-près-l'Andorre is a commune in the Ariège department in southwestern France.
The commune has a history of vulnerability to avalanches in winter. Avalanches hit the commune in 1895 killing 12, and again in 1906 and 1929.[1][2] Avalanches have also closed the RN-20 road.[3]
