Kyle Donovan Weaver (born February 18, 1986) is an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Washington State University, and was drafted 38th overall by the Charlotte Bobcats in the 2008 NBA Draft. Weaver, a 6'6" (1.98 m) shooting guard, was born in Beloit, Wisconsin.
College career
Weaver had a career-high 25 points and 12 rebounds in a 75-68 Washington State loss to Stanford on March 14, 2008 at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, California.[1]
Professional career
On August 11, 2008, he was traded by the Bobcats to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a second-round pick from the 2009 NBA Draft, which originally belonged to the New Jersey Nets.[2] The Thunder assigned Weaver to NBA Development League affiliate Tulsa 66ers in: April 2009,[3] November 2009,[4] March 2010,[5] and April 2010.[6]
Weaver spent the 2010 training camp with the Chicago Bulls,[7] but was waived on October 21. After spending several months in the NBA D-League, he was signed by the Utah Jazz on March 30, 2011.[8]
In April 2011 he signed with Spirou Charleroi in Belgium.[9]
In July 2011 he joined the German team Alba Berlin.[10]
In October 2012, he signed with the Memphis Grizzlies.[11] On October 23, 2012, Weaver was waived by the Grizzlies. Weaver then signed with the Austin Toros.[12] On February 25, 2013, Weaver was traded to the Canton Charge.[13]
On August 19, 2013, he signed a one-year deal with Azzurro Napoli.[14]
