Kyiv International School

Kyiv International School is a private international school located in Kyiv, Ukraine. It was founded in 1992, and is part of the Quality Schools International group, as well as a member of CEESA, Central and Eastern European Schools Association. The school offers N-12 education in the English language, including a full International Baccalaureate program and also Advanced Placement courses. In June 2000, the school purchased and began renovation of a large facility on an expansive site near the Svyatoshyn metro in Kyiv. The school occupied the newly renovated building in May 2001.

The facility includes

  • a library/learning center with more than 25,000 titles
  • three computer labs
  • three science labs
  • a pre-school wing
  • art studio
  • a theater
  • a music/drama center
  • a video production studio
  • two snack bars and a cafeteria
  • All of the main classrooms are equipped with interactive touchboards and multimedia projectors.

The sports and recreation facilities include

  • two gymnasiums,
  • a swimming pool,
  • a multipurpose exercise room,
  • a weight room, an outdoor mini-pitch,
  • two playgrounds,
  • a track and a soccer pitch with artificial turf.
  • an outside basketball pitch

The academic program uses a Performance-Based Mastery Learning approach to learning. It is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
