The Kushinagar Express is an Indian Railways train running between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) and Gorakhpur. It is numbered as 11015/11016. The train is named after the town of Kushinagar, an important Buddhist pilgrim centre near Gorakhpur. This is a highly demanded train with 15 Sleeper coaches, one second AC coach, two third AC coach, one pantry car and five general coaches. The train is always packed to its capacity throughout the year. Even wait listed are difficult to obtain for this train.
The train takes nearly 33 hours to complete the distance of 1679 km, and always runs late between Jhansi and Gorakhpur because preference is given to other trains running over this route.
