Kursk (play)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kursk is a play produced by the theatre company Sound and Fury, written by the British playwright Bryony Lavery, and directed by Mark Espiner and Dan Jones. It is inspired by the 2000 sinking of the Russian submarine K-141 Kursk and set on a British submarine on a covert mission in the Barents Sea.[1][2][3]

Jon Bausor was nominated for an Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Design in November 2009 for his work on Kursk.[4]

The production was nominated for "Best Touring Production" at the 2010 TMA Awards.[5]
