Count Kuno Friedrich Viktor von Westarp (12 August 1864 – 30 July 1945) was a German Conservative politician.
Life and career
From 1913 to 1918 Westarp was the head of the German Conservative Party parliamentary group in the Reichstag. In 1918, he joined the German National People's Party (DNVP), rising to become chairman in 1924. Because his support for the government of Heinrich Brüning did not meet with the approval of his party, and because the anti-republican tendencies of his successor as leader (Alfred Hugenberg), he formed his own party in 1930, the Konservative Volkspartei (KVP), with which he sat in the Reichstag until 1932. Westarp was a member of the Reichstag between 1908–1918 and 1920-1932.
