Kundu

The Kundu is a gotra (clan) of Jats found in India.[1] It may also refer to a surname of Kastha class of Baidya community Of Bengal.[2]

History

In Northern India most of the Kundu's are associated with soldiering and agriculture.[citation needed]. A city named Kundila is mentioned in Mahabharata, the inhabitants of this were known as Kundu. They are also mentioned as descendants of Rishi Kondilya.[3]
