Krtince is a small settlement in the Šmarje pri Jelšah municipality in eastern Slovenia. It lies just off the main road from Šmarje towards Rogaška Slatina. The area was traditionally part of Lower Styria. The municipality is now included in the Savinja statistical region.[2]
The local church is dedicated to Saint Benedict and belongs to the Sladka Gora parish. It dates to the 15th century with 17th-century adaptations.[3]
