Kristofer Martin R. Dangculos (born November 20, 1994 in Olongapo City, Zambales, Philippines) is a Filipino actor. His career started when he joined the talent TV show Little Big Superstar where he was eliminated on the second week. He appeared in a couple of TV shows in ABS-CBN such as Prinsesa ng Banyera, Kung Fu Kids, Ligaw na Bulaklak and Pare Koy.[1]
In 2010, Martin moved to GMA 7 to be a certified Kapuso. He became one of the rising young male actors appearing in hit drama shows such as Endless Love, Tween Hearts, Munting Heredera, Pahiram ng Sandali, Kakambal ni Eliana and Kahit Nasaan Ka Man. He is a regular performer in the Sunday variety show Sunday All Stars where Martin uses his other skills such as singing, dancing and rapping.
Career
Martin started his career on television when he joined a search for young singers. He also appeared as a TV guest in multiple ABS-CBN programs such as Boy & Kris, ASAP '08 and Wowowee He has made several mall shows around Metro Manila and provinces when he joined Little Big Superstar together with his co-stars in Kung Fu Kids.
Kristofer as Kapamilya (2007-2009)
In the Kapamilya station, Martin's screen name is 'Kristofer Dangculos'. Martin's career started when he joined Little Big Superstar, a search reality-variety show for kids with good singing ability. In this contest he was called "Prince Charming" because of his good-looks. He became one of the ten finalist but he was eliminated in the second week of the finals. He appeared in Prinsesa ng Banyera, a noon-time drama after Wowowee. He played the role of the young Eric Fragante, who became TJ Trinidad when the character grew up. He was paired with Jane Oineza, also his co-star in Kung Fu Kids, who played the role of the young Maningning Burgos (who later became Kristine Hermosa).
Martin became famous because of Kung Fu Kids, his first fantaserye drame series in ABS-CBN. In this series, he plays the role of Benjamin "Benjo" Reyes, a bully always involved in rumbles, also known as Kid Bully. Later, he becomes a good boy and develops feelings for Saranelle "Sarah" Magalang (Eliza Pineda). He searches for his mother, Carmen Santiago (Jacq Yu), but later finds that she has already died. His father is Congressman Adrian Ocampo (Allen Dizon), who already has his own family. His half-sister Moira "Moi" Ocampo (Jane Oineza) is also a Kung Fu Kid.
He is the only Kung Fu Kid that doesn't have any special ability, but is aided by his sixth sense. His weapon is a nunchaku made from slippers and his attack chant is "Shadow Sipit".
Ligaw na Bulaklak. In this noon-time drama, he played the role of Chuckie, the foster son of Mrs. Reyes (Arlene Muhlach) and the brother of Ian (Ron Morales). His brother was accidentally killed by Counselor Chris (Coco Martin).
Pare Koy is one of the programs of ABS-CBN aired last January 5, 2009. Kristofer will play as Ringgo. His character "dies" at a young age. He becomes best friends with Jess, because Ringgo prevented Jess from colliding into a speeding car when they were kids. He belongs to the circle of friends with Jess, Joseph and Mario and they call each other Parekoy. "He" appears to be alive, but Jess, Mario, and Joseph think it's a hallucination. It's not really Ringgo that appears to them but instead his son, JR who looked exactly like him so the other parekoys think that JR is the spirit of the "dead" Ringgo.
Kristofer as Kapuso (2010-present)
After playing Young Johnny (played by Dingdong Dantes) in the remake of koreanovela, Endless Love, Kristofer is now a GMA Artist Center talent with the screen name, 'Kristoffer Martin'.
Kristofer now joins his former Kung Fu Kids star whose now a Kapuso, Joshua Dionisio. Kristofer signed an exclusive three-year contract until 2013. His previous project was the hit teen-oriented show in the country, Tween Hearts,He also appeared in the drama Munting Heredera where he was paired with Joyce Ching who he was paired with in other projects such as Tween Hearts, Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin and Endless Love. Munting Heredera also includes big stars such as Gloria Romero, Roderick Paulate, Camille Prats, Mark Anthony Fernandez and many more.
Kristofer became one of the official cast of Tween Hearts previously broadcast by GMA Network on 2010-2012, the Longest Running Youth Oriented Show in the Philippines on that time.
In the Mid 2012, he was headlined for another drama program on GMA Network entitled Luna Blanca, the very first Multi-Generational Program on Philippine TV which he was cast on its 2nd Generation and played the role of Joaquin "Aki" Alvarez, a popular singer who becomes Luna's defender and confidant which was later played by Mark Herras on its 3rd and Last Chapter.In 2013 Kristofer announced the breakup with his girlfriend, Joyce Ching. In 2013, he starred in two television dramas. The first drama being Kakambal ni Eliana where he is paired with Kim Rodriguez for the first time. Before the year ended he was cast in the drama Kahit Nasaan Ka Man where he is paired with a different actress, Julie Anne San Jose. Kahit Nasaan Ka Man was the first project Kristofer and Julie Anne were paired together as a love team. It was officially announced before 2013 ended that Kristofer was cast in a main role in the upcoming show Paraiso Ko'y Ikaw where he is again paired with Kim Rodriguez. Paraiso Ko'y Ikaw will also include his former girlfriend, Joyce Ching, and Phytos Ramirez both also in main roles. Paraiso Ko'y Ikaw is slated to air on January 27, 2014.
