Kristian Nushi (Serbo-Croat: Kristijan Nuši) (born 21 July 1982) is a Kosovar Albanian football player. He is a midfielder and plays for FC St. Gallen in Switzerland. He plays for the Kosovo national football team at international level.
Career
Nushi began his career in Kosovo and started to train with local club KF Prishtina. In 1999, aged 17 he moved to Switzerland to play for FC Spiez in Canton Bern. For the 2002/03 season he moved to FC Wil of the Swiss Super League. In the 2003/04 the club suffered relegation to the Challenge League. In four years at FC Wil Nushi played 99 games and scored 18 goals.
He joined FC Aarau[1] on 28 June 2007, competing in the top tier of Swiss Football League, the Swiss Super League.
Nushi scored his first international goal in his debut for Kosovo national football team in the 1–0 win over Saudi Arabia, in Ankara, Turkey, on 15 June 2007.[2]
On May 30, 2009, it was announced that Nushi would be joining FC St.Gallen, newly promoted to the Swiss Super League after being relegated to the Challenge League the previous year, for the 2009/10 season. Nushi has reportedly agreed to a 3-year deal.
