Krasa Rossii (Russian:The Beauty of Russia)[1] is an annual national pageant in Russia that sends the country's representatives to the Miss Earth pageant. The pageant was established in 1995 and one of the two longest-running beauty contests in Russia.[2] The pageant has been called the Beauty Olympics in Russia where the winner must fit the general concept of womanly beauty, with a harmonious figure and positive energy, patriotism, high internal qualities and intellect.[3] The participants of the pageant must be at least 15 to 26 years old.[2] In 2008, the contest was also open to women who have children but are not married, a unique allowance for many beauty contests.[4]
