Kovalyov, often spelled as Kovalev (Russian: Ковалев), or Kovalyova, Kovaleva (feminine; Ковалёва), is a common Russian surname, an equivalent of the English "Smith" (derived from a South Russian word koval that means blacksmith). May refer to the following people:
