Kovářov is a village and municipality (obec) in Písek District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 50.43 square kilometres (19.47 sq mi), and has a population of 1,463 (as at 1 November 2008).
Kovářov lies approximately 27 kilometres (17 mi) north-east of Písek, 62 km (39 mi) north of České Budějovice, and 65 km (40 mi) south of Prague.
