Kothapatnam is a village and a Mandal in Prakasam district on the Bay of Bengal coast of the State of Andhra Pradesh in India.[1][2]

Kothapatnam proper is now about two kilometers inland, but the name usually includes the coastal kattumaram fishing village of Pallipalem.
