Kot Momin (Punjabi,Urdu: كوٹ مومِن), is a town and Tehsil headquarters in Sargodha District,.Punjab, Pakistan. On June 21, 2003 Chief Minister of the Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi announced it as a Tehsil. So after that day it is recognized as Kot Momin Tehsil of Sargodha District.[1]

Demography

Population is 50,000 (2012 estimate) being mainly Muslim and Punjabi speaking. Kot Momin is almost 40 km away from Sargodha . This place is most famous for citrus fruit mandarian (Kinnow, Malta etc.) and therefore is known as"The City Of Citrus". Major clans include Sandhu,Noon,Garra, Mela,Sheikh, Arain, Gondal, tarar,Ranjha, Lak, Mughal,'Bhatti,Raja, mirza and Sheikh. It is linked with Lahore and Islamabad by M2 motorway.

Popular Schools of Kotmomin are Ray of Hope School System,Dar-UL-Huda Model High School, The Mips High School, Dar-e-Arqam, Minhaj Ul Quran,Educators.

Kot Momin sub-district is a "City of Citrus". Its famous towns are Halal Pur Noon,Takhat Hazara, Middh Ranjha,chak miana, Moazamabad, Choki Bhagat ( Bhagtanwala), Hujjan, Mateela and Mela, Chak 8 Rajgan,Chak no. 67 SB.
