Korkinsky District (Russian: Коркинский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia.[1] It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 102.76 square kilometers (39.68 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Korkino.[1] Population (excluding the administrative center): 24,314 (2010 Census).[2]
