Kondapur (konda = hill, pur = settlement) is a suburban area in the Ranga Reddy district of Andhra Pradesh, India.

Kondapur is near the Kothaguda traffic signals. Kondapur is well connected by bus and auto to Miyapur, Mehdipatnam, Secunderabad, Ghatkesar, Koti, and Uppal. The railway station is 4 km from Kondapoor, in (Hafizpet, HITEC City). Kondapur is close to the HITEX Exhibition Center.

Economy

Kondapur is home to the information technology industry. Kondapur has grown in the last few years into a modern business hub.

The region has experienced a real estate boom in recent years and was one of most expensive place to live in around 2007. A subsequent over-supply of apartments and lack of buyers for flats and plots has led to a significant cooling-off in the real estate market. The area is currently experiencing a far bigger slump compared to several other places around Hyderabad.

Kondapur has many supermarkets such as Vijetha supermarket, Arunodayam Supermarket...etc. The transport facility of this region is also good. The bus services of APSRTC offers 127k -kondapur to Koti,10H -Kondapur to secunderabad,47k - Secunderabad to kondapur..

The area has been subjected to severe power cuts for the past several months. On November 6, 2011, there was a fire in the building that housed the Reliance Fresh store.[1] Though there was no loss of lives, but the supermarket was destroyed.

This area also has many schools such as Samskrithi Concept School,[2] G.V.R Talent School, Goutham Grammar School, New bloom School, Sharada school, Sanskriti Schook Leap Pre school, Chirec publci school...etc. MAMA & ME School with Daycare etc.
