Kolpashevo (Russian: Колпа́шево) is a town and the administrative center of Kolpashevsky District of Tomsk Oblast, Russia, located on the Ob River. Population: 24,124 (2010 Census);[1] 28,441 (2002 Census);[4] 31,319 (1989 Census).[5]
History
It has existed since the beginning of the 17th century as a village.[citation needed] Town status was granted to it in 1938.[citation needed]
Transportation
The town is served by the Kolpashevo Airport.
Climate
Kolpashevo has a subarctic climate (Köppen climate classification Dfc), with very cold winters and warm summers. Precipitation is moderate and is somewhat higher in summer than at other times of the year.
