Kolniszki [kɔlˈniʂki] (German: Kollnischken; 1938-45: Burgfelde) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Gołdap, within Gołdap County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia.[1] It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) south-east of Gołdap and 135 km (84 mi) north-east of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
