Koch Brothers Exposed is a 2012 US political documentary, compiled by Robert Greenwald from a viral video campaign produced by Brave New Films, about the political activities of the Koch brothers.[1][2]

Background

Robert Greenwald is an American filmmaker, who in the early 2000s turned toward making issues-oriented documentary films and founded Brave New Films, a liberal media company which publishes viral documentary campaigns, including the one from which this film was compiled.[3]

"The billionaire brothers," according to the campaign’s official website, "bankroll a vast network of organizations that work to undermine the interests of the 99% on issues ranging from Social Security to the environment to civil rights." The film, described on the official website as "a hard-hitting investigation of the 1% at its very worst," "uncovers the Kochs’ corruption—and points the way to how Americans can reclaim their democracy."[4]

Rebuttal

Mark Holden, General Counsel of Koch Industries, posted a lengthy rebuttal to this video, in April 2012.[5] This rebuttal by Koch Industries addressed several specific assertions in the Greenwald video, and concluded that the video is an untruthful attempt "to make money off of the orchestrated partisan political attacks against Koch that have been going on for the past few years."[5]
