Kościelisko [kɔɕt͡ɕeˈliskɔ] is a village in Tatra County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland, close to the border with Slovakia. (It was previously in Nowy Sącz Voivodeship from 1975-1998.) It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Kościelisko.[1] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) west of Zakopane and 86 km (53 mi) south of the regional capital Kraków.
In 2006 the village had a population of 3,900.
