Kořenec is a village and municipality (obec) in Blansko District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 8.1 square kilometres (3.1 sq mi), and has a population of 325 (as at 28 August 2006).
Kořenec lies approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of Blansko, 38 km (24 mi) north of Brno, and 179 km (111 mi) east of Prague.
