Knowle F.C. is an English football club based in Knowle, near Solihull, in the West Midlands. The club are currently members of Division One of the Midland Combination and play at The Robins' Nest on the edge of the village.

History

The club established as Knowle Town in 1926, and initially played in the Birmingham Youth & Old Boys League. They won the Senior League and Senior Cup in 1947–48.

In 1966 they joined the Worcestershire Combination (renamed the Midland Combination in 1968).[1] In 1968–69 they finished second in Division Two and were promoted to Division One (later renamed the Premier Division). In 1983 they were renamed Knowle North Star.[2] They finished bottom of the Premier Division in both 1983–84 and 1984–85, but were not relegated on either occasion. In 1985 they reverted to the name Knowle.[1]

At the end of the 1997–98 season the club were relegated to Division One as their ground did not have floodlights.[1] They won Division One in 2002–03, but were not promoted, before winning it again in 2005–06. Following a further championship in 2007–08 the club decided to groundshare with Studley in order to gain promotion. They have since moved back to their own ground.
