Klara is a Belgian radio channel operated by the Flemish public broadcaster Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroep (VRT), and dedicated mostly to classical music but sometimes also jazz and world music.[1]
The name stands for Klassieke Radio which means Classical Radio.[2]
History
In December 2000, Klara was created as the successor of the former VRT Radio 3. The name change was created along with new programming to aim at a larger audience for the classical music station.[3]
