Kirby Building Systems
Kirby Building Systems is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Alghanim Industries. The company was established in 1976 and centers its operations on Pre-engineered buildings.[1] It has manufacturing facilities in Kuwait, Ras Al Khaimah, Hyderabad Haridwar and Vietnam with a production capacity of over 400,000 MT per year.[2] It's certified to ISO 9001 quality standard and has sales offices in 70 countries.[1] The company also offers curved steel structures that give a better architectural look of PEB buildings.[3]
History
In 1976 Kirby is established with a production plant in Kuwait. The company builds in 1981 the largest textile complex in the world in Alamriya, Egypt. In 1996 the company receives ISO 9001:2000 quality certification and inaugurates four years later another manufacturing plant in Hyderabad, India. Kirby India receives one year later ISO 9001:2000 certification. In 2006 a plant in Haridwar was inaugurated with a capacity of 60,0000 MT.[4] The plant had an investment of Rs 50 crore (500 million Rupees).[5] A year later another plant in Ras Al Khaimah was inaugurated and construction starts on a plant in Vietnam.[4]
