Kingsway Communications (known as Kingsway) is a prominent British literature and music publisher of Christian material. It is one of the largest media related companies working the field of Christian interest.[citation needed] Since 1993, Kingsway has been a subsidiary of David C. Cook.[citation needed] Historically, it sprang from a 1977 merger of Victory Press, previously a publishing house of the Elim Pentecostal Church, and Coverdale House, an associate of the American Tyndale House publishers.[citation needed]

Ministries

Kingsway has a number of sub ministries within its umbrella which are influential within the evangelical and charismatic branches of the global Christian church. These include:

  • Songs of Fellowship - the Hymn and Songs book series
  • Kingsway Music - responsible for worship song publishing and live and studio recordings with artists such as Stuart Townend and Lou Fellingham. In 2010, popular Christian band Phatfish joined Kingsway following its acquisition of Authentic Media.
  • Mission:Worship - focusing on live worship.
  • Children's Ministry - annual conference and resources aimed at resourcing children workers
  • Survivor Records - more youth orientated record label, with artists such as Tim Hughes and Matt Redman and music and recordings of the Soul Survivor annual event.

Marketing

Kingsway has a marketing and co-operation deal with EMI.[1] In 2009 it purchased the Fierce! recording arm of Delirious?.[2]
