Kingsley College is a high school and sixth form centre in Redditch, Worcestershire, England. It was formed by the merging of three high schools in 2001. As of October 2010 the school has approximately 1050 students on roll, of which 200 are in the sixth form.[1] The school was designated a Specialist Arts College in September 2003 [2] for the Performing Arts.[1] Kingsley College has a Mainstream Autism Base which in May 2004 achieved the Leading Aspect Award. In October 2013, Ofsted graded the school as 2 ('Good').[1] The school is part of the Kingswood Educational trust, and a new headteacher was appointed in September 2010. Kingsley College is equipped with a dedicated autism centre staffed by two full-time teachers, and has a capacity for ten students.[3]

Partnerships

The school has partnerships with Woodrush High School, Warwick University, GKN, Barnardo’s and Ican, a language charity.international partnerships with Independence High School in North Carolina, USA, Kwamfundo Secondary in Western Cape, South Africa.[4]

Curriculum

The school offers core subjects for Years 9- 13 the National Curriculum, that culminate in GCSE, A and AS level course, BTEC, and diploma courses.

Theatre

As a performing arts college, the school is a centre for the performing arts in Redditch and operates the Kingsley Theatre on its campus.[5]
