King Baudouin Foundation

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The King Baudouin Foundation (KBF) is an independent, pluralistic foundation working in Belgium and at the European and international level. It seeks to change society for the better and invests in inspiring projects and individuals.

In 2012 KBF provided a total of 22 million euro in support to 1,700 organisations and individuals. A total of 1,730 people generously made their expertise available on independent juries, expert groups and advisory committees. KBF also organises debates on important social issues, shares research results through (free) publications, enters into partnerships and encourages philanthropy, working 'through' rather than 'for' the King Baudouin Foundation.

The Foundation was set up in 1976, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of King Baudouin's reign.

The board of governors is chaired by baroness Françoise Tulkens.[1]
