Kinetic Chemicals

Kinetic Chemicals Inc. was a joint venture between DuPont and General Motors. It was founded in 1930 to develop and commercialize chlorofluorocarbon chemicals, such as refrigerants.[1] One of the more famous inventions of Kinetic Chemicals was Teflon. In 1949, the operations came under control of the Organic Chemicals Department.
