Kim Bodnia (born 12 April 1965) is a Danish actor. He is well known for his role as Martin Rohde in the Scandinavian crime drama television series The Bridge. He also played Frank in Pusher and Jakov in episode 4 of Those Who Kill.
Biography
Kim Bodnia grew up in Espergærde in Denmark. His family is Jewish (from Poland and Russia).[1] In his youth, he wrote music, lyrics and poems. He also formed a music duo with his colleague Henrik Fiig. Bodnia was educated at Statens Teaterskole (National school of theatre) in Copenhagen in the years 1987 to 1991.
Movie career
He has appeared in several of the successful Danish films from the 1990s and 2000s, e.g. Nattevagten (Nightwatch), Pusher, and Bleeder, the latter two directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, Terribly Happy,[2] and the two Lasse Spang Olsen films In China They Eat Dogs, Old Men in New Cars.
Bodnia has also appeared in several Norwegian films. Titles include Himmelfall, Monstertorsdag, Tomme Tønner and Aurora. He is also featured in a Bollywood movie called Delhi Belly as Vladimir Dragunsky.
