Kibaale is a town in Western Uganda. It is the main municipal, administrative and commercial center of Kibaale District, and the district headquarters are located there. The district is named after the town.
Location
Kibaale is located in Buyaga County, approximately 220 kilometres (140 mi), by road, west of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city. [1] The coordinates of the town are: 00 47 24N, 31 03 54E (Latitude: 0.7900; Longitude: 31.0650).
Population
The 2002 national census estimated the population of Kibaale at about 4,800.[2] In 2006, the population of the town had grown to about 5,200.[3] The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS), estimates the population of the town at 7,600 in 2011.[4]
