Khoti

The Khoti are a gotra (clan) of Jats, found in the Punjab region of Pakistan.
History and origin
According to the traditions of the tribe, the Khoti are descendent from an Ahmed Kanowal. Sohi, the grandson of the Ahmed, moved from iran and settled in Sialkot, and from him descend the Sohi tribe of the Jats.[1]
Khoti, a descendant of Sohi settled in Jhelum, where the bulk of the tribe is still found.[2]
