From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Khair Khāna (Persian: خير خانه) is a neighbourhood in north west Kabul, Afghanistan. It is predominantly residential, with a boom of high rise constructions and modern apartments, as the area has seen major re-developments.
History
Construction in Khair Khāna began during the late 1960s and early 1970s, as a plan to expand the city of Kabul. Many of its residents are from the north(shamali) of the country and are ethnic Tajiks[citation needed].
