Kevin Tent is an American film editor. Tent's early life was spent near Buffalo, New York.[1] He began his career editing educational films, then moved into the world of low-budget horror films, working on several projects with legendary producer Roger Corman.[2] Tent has since gone on to edit many high-profile films. He is known for his long-standing partnership with filmmaker Alexander Payne. Tent has been nominated for three ACE Eddie Awards. He has been twice nominated for the ACE Eddie Award for Best Edited Feature Film - Comedy or Musical for Election and Sideways. His work on About Schmidt earned him a nomination for the ACE Eddie Award for Best Edited Feature Film - Dramatic.[3] In addition to his career in editing, Tent also co-directed two films; 1990's Ultra Warrior, and 1993's Blackbelt II.[4]
