Kenya–Malawi relations

Malawi and Kenya have had diplomatic relations. The Malawi High Commission closed down in 2002 although the buildings are still intact and owned by the Malawi government. President Joyce Banda plans on establishing their embassies in Kenya in order to strengthen relations between the two countries.[1]
People
- Malawian President Joyce Banda lived in Kenya for a few years and was married to a Kenyan.[2]
Transportation
Kenya Airways runs regular flights to Malawi. Under the Fifth Freedom Kenya Airways has to have a commercial agreement with Air Malawi to operate the Lilongwe-Lusaka route for flights to neighboring countries.[3]
