Kendall Payne is a singer/songwriter of indie rock music who was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Her first album, Jordan's Sister, was released by Capitol Records in 1999 and sold over 100,000 copies. She spent two years on the Lilith Fair tour with Sarah McLachlan and has also toured with the likes of Dido, Ron Sexsmith, Third Day, and Delirious?.

At the 32nd Annual GMA Dove Awards in 2001 she won the Dove for Modern Rock Album of the Year for her 1999 debut album Jordan's Sister.

Her second record Grown was released in 2004.

Her third album Paper Skin was released in 2007.

Her fourth album That's Why There's Grace was released in 2008.

Her fifth album is a holiday album entitled December also released in 2008.

Her sixth album Wounds to Scars was released in 2009.

Payne's songwriting was further recognized when she received the 2007 ASCAP Sammy Cahn Award, a prestigious songwriting achievement whose past recipients include John Mayer. Her music has been used in many films and TV shows (see below) including her song "Supermodels," which was the theme song for The WB Television Network's teen dramedy Popular.

Kendall performed at Lilith Unfair at The Mint in Los Angeles on Thursday, June 19, 2008. Lilith Unfair is a monthly concert series benefiting breast cancer research.
